In an upcoming Council meeting on 5th March, EU Environment Ministers have an opportunity to call on the EU Commission to develop specific proposals for how the European Union can systematically reduce human and environmental exposures to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs).
Last November the EU Commission published a new Communication on endocrine disruptors, which lacked concrete measures on how people and the environment can be better protected from these harmful chemicals.
The EDC-Free Europe campaign now calls on the EU Environment Ministers to spearhead a Council response to this flawed Communication, requiring that the Commission strengthens its proposals to reduce exposures to EDCs.
